Denis was an avid photographer and made St. Maarten a regular stop on his travels.
Denis had a way with his camera, a way to make people open up and smile. He captured many volunteers, sailors, staff and island visitors on his many trips and was always happy to be a part of the event. He was the official photographer of regatta sponsor Island92 and always shared his work with the event. His positive attitude and playful nature will be missed.
Denis could always be seen with a camera around his neck while patiently waiting for the planes to land at the end of the runway. Aviation photography was his passion and he made many friends while shooting on the beach. He touched many lives along his journey of life.
His enthusiasm for life and his passion for photography will live on through the many pictures he shared every day. We extend condolences to his wife Michele, son Martin and his many friends and family around the world. The 2017 St. Maarten Heineken Regatta will not be the same this year.
