St. Maarten Heineken Regatta Launches Ultimate REgatta Booking Site

Simpson Bay, St. Maarten, December 18, 2024 – The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, renowned for its world-class racing, legendary parties, and breathtaking island setting, is excited to launch a new Regatta Experience Booking Site for visiting sailors, fans, and families to design the ultimate Regatta vacation. At 8:30 AM, on Thursday through Sunday of the Regatta, the fleet lines up in Simpson Bay Lagoon for the ultimate parade of sail through the Simpson Bay Bridge. Yacht-spotters grab their front row seat at the Sint Maarten Yacht Club with the “best Bloody Mary on the island” to watch the competitors head through the bridge for the day of racing. By 9:55 AM, the first race starts can be captured either amongst the world’s largest super yachts in Simpson Bay for the bareboat and catamaran classes, or off the coast of Pelican Key for the elite CSA racing fleet. Head to Mullet Bay, Maho, Simpson Bay, or Indigo Bay for a day at the beach, and there will be plenty of boats to see racing throughout the day. Expect to see famous maxi yachts like the Volvo65 ocean racing machines, with two of these beasts already registered for 2025.  

Racing concludes in the afternoon, and the fleet heads back into the Lagoon via the 3 PM bridge opening to get back to the legendary Regatta Village at the Port de Plaisance Princess Resort. The party officially begins when the racing yachts return to port, and can crack open the first ice-cold Heinken to celebrate their beautiful day racing around St. Maarten. Food, music, and entertainment run throughout the evening, with daily prize giving ceremonies at 6 PM, and live music kicking off at 7 PM daily until midnight.
